Tribe Bauzi

                     The Bauzi tribe, is one of the tribes of many tribes in Papua, Indonesia. The population of the Bauzi tribe by the 1991 census was 1,500. The Bauzi tribe has several names, namely Bazi, Baudi, Bauji and Bauri. Bauzi tribe is an alien tribe in the interior of the land of Papua. They are still living as a gathering society that can speak as the most isolated tribe.

 

                       Institute for Science and Natural Sciences, Institute of Linguistic Technology (SIL), enter the new tribe in the list of the 14 most estranged tribes. The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Papua also includes the Bauzi tribe into the list of 20 isolated tribes that have been identified in Papua. The location of the settlements in the jungle, mountains, valleys, swamps to large rivers that meandering around the Mamberamo region, so this is not in contact with the outer civilization. The Bauzi tribe is still living in traditional ways, which have not changed since their inception on the island of Papua.

                      The Bauzi tribe Starts from the northern Waropen area. But they spread south of Lake Bira, Noiadi and Neao southeast, two areas located in the hills of Van Rees Mamberamo. The Bauzi tribe is thought to be spreading by means of canoes down the river or on foot. Their spread to the northern and central parts of the Mamberamo region.
