



Ethnic Of Papua


Indonesia consists of various ethnic groups and cultures that vary, but still in a container of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The diversity of tribes and cultures occurs because of the location of Indonesia which consists of the archipelago. There are even some islands that are remote and can not relate to other areas. The fragmented region caused various differences and this gave rise to a diversity of ethnicities and cultures.
In general, ethnic groups in the western and central parts of Indonesia include Mongoloid-Malay race with characteristics of brown skin color, wavy or straight black hair, moderate nose (not broad, not sharp), medium lips (not thin and not thickness), average height 150-165 cm, black eyes, with a gentle view, they spread in Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Bali NTB, NTT and others in Maluku and Papua due to state duty or transmigration.
In the eastern part of Indonesia (Papua) and some of the Moluccas and East Timorese generally belong to the Melanesoid race (Negri Melanesia). This tribe generally has characteristics of black color, black and curly hair, wide nose, black eyes, thick lips, strong body, average height 160-170 cm, which is cohere with tribes in the islands of Polynesia, Micronesia, Melanesia, Fiji, Solomon, Bismark, Papua New Guinea.
